Defenders of Wildlife Defenders is a fine organization working hard for the protection of the natural environment and all wildlife through educating the public, letter writing and lobbying. They have a great magazine with wonderful pictures and very informative articles.

The Nature Conservancy The Conservancy is a wonderful organization. They bypass all the red tape and politics involved in trying to protect the environment and wildlife. They cut to the chase, so to speak, and buy the land themselves. They privately own it and keep it natural. some of their parks are open to the public and other, more sensitive habitats are restricted. Your donations to them you know is well spent.

Wild Canid Survival and Research Center This is a great organization that breeds endangered wolf species in the wild. Whenever possible they then release some of them into the wild. They also educate the public about wolves and the problems the species faces. They have a wonderful gift shop. You can even adopt specific wolves there which helps support the sanctuary.

Wolf Park Another good wolf educational site and sanctuary for captive breeding.

Environment for Beginners This is a site to get basic information on the environment and the effects and consequences of pollution. It gives a basic understanding of how Nature works and how our actions affect our planet.

Save the Big Cats This is great site to learn about various species of big cats and why they are endangered. What is best of all is just by licking on an icon there money is automatically donated to the organization and it's free! Even better you can do it every day!

The Hunger Site This is another wonderful site where you can click on an icon and have money donated to the organization to help feed the hungry. It's free and you can do it every day!

Washington A great site for finding what the folks in Washington are up to. It tells you what bills are being voted on, who is sponsoring it and if it passes or not. The best part is you can email the president and your representatives from this site. Let them know you are watching them and you care about what they do to our planet and its residents.

Congress.org A great site to email your Congressman or the President to keep them informed about your concerns on the environment. It gives information about your representatives, their background and experience and where their campaign contributions are coming from. Don't let Washington slack off on the environment - make yourself heard. It is too important!
