Plants can clean up the poisons emitted from building materials and furniture. The plants are ranked by their filtration rates of toxins in the air and their ease to grow and maintain them. 	State of the World 2007 by The World Watch Institute comes out every year. It is put together by numerous researchers, biologists, scientists, economists, and analysts. It is an update on the state of the world, the environment, economy and crime, what is wrong and what changes need to be made to correct it. This report will show what is needed to foster sustainable cities on a planet where urban areas are home to half the human population and a far larger share of natural resource use. Very interesting reading and a great reference book. A definite "must have" for everyone's bookshelf.
	Animal Minds: Beyond Cognition to... by Donald Griffin is an incredibly interesting and inspiring book. It is support for the argument that animals do think and have minds of their own. Dr. Griffin presents studies and research that support this or at the very least show potential for this argument and warrant a closer look. This book is not for everyone, however. It is very technical writing. It is a great book for the scientifically oriented animal lover.
	The Soul of the Wolf by Dr. Michael Fox is a great book about the personal and social lives of wolves. It is not just a book about their behavior, but a book that will connect you to these incredible animals.
	Of Wolves and Men by Barry Lopez is a great book about the history and relationship between wolves and humans. It covers the history, folklore, Indian tales, fairy tales, fears, and man's determination to destroy the species. A really "must have" book for any wolf lover!
